WORLD JET BOAT CHAMPIONSHIP CIRCLE TOUR

June 20-29, 2025 - The roar of the engines, the spray of the water, and the thrill of the race – these are the sights and sounds of the World Jet Boat Championship Circle Tour. For decades, adrenaline-seeking spectators and skilled racers have flocked to Alberta and British Columbia for one of the most exciting and unique events in the North. This year is the World Jet Boat Championships. This event is held in Canada every 4 years and teams come to compete from all over Canada, New Zealand, United States and Mexico.

August

Summer's End Festival
Summer's leaving but there's no end to the fun! Celebrate the end of a beautiful summer with your friends and family in the Town of Fairview. Fairview is known as the "Heart of the Peace" and the friendly people in this small town really know how to throw a party!

September

Harvest Moon Festival
Imagine Mainstreet Grimshaw lined with lights, games, food booths, and fun activities enjoyed by hundreds of residents and visitors joining together to celebrate the summer and welcome the harvest season.

Miserable Miles
Each year, athletes push themselves to the limits of their endurance against the breathtaking background of the Peace River valley while competing in the Miserable Miles. Enjoy a fun and challenging 5.5km obstacle race that takes contestants over a 212 meter vertical ascent through the stunning vistas of Misery Mountain, located in northern Alberta’s community of Peace River.

Town of McLennan's Oktoberfest
Raise a maß of delicious beer to good health, friends, family and of course gemütlichkeit. The McLennan Elks hall will be transformed for a night into the McLennan Festhalle. Filled with the sound of music and the smell of fresh pretzels and delicious Bavarian beer. So please come join us!

There’s nothing more magical than the “Carnaval de St-Isidore,” a treasured celebration of the Francophone culture in Northern Alberta and this year, you can expect a magical experience. The theme for the 41st annual event is “Neon,” bringing a feeling of progress and possibility to the much-anticipated annual winter event in St. Isidore.

The Alberta Pond Hockey Championship is a thrilling three-day event that brings the spirit of Canada's favourite pastime to life on the frozen Lac Cardinal Lake. Held annually, this championship is a celebration of hockey in its purest form, played outdoors on natural ice across 15 rinks.
